Kevin M. Neibauer sat down with Rich Brzeski, a fourth year member of the Philadelphia Wings. Rich is the type of player that Wings fans have always taken to their hearts, a guy that hustles and wears his heart on his sleeve. Philadelphia has a long tradition of those type of players; Lou Delligati, Chris Flynn, Steve Govett, Chris Bates and Mike Busza to name a few. So, lets see what Rich expects from the Wings and himself in the upcoming season. | |

What do you hope to see from the New Coach, GM, Lindsay Sanderson? |
I don't really know what to expect from Coach Sanderson because I really don't know him. One thing that I do know is he is a well respected coach throughout the league and I only heard good things about him from the people I talk to. |
How did you spend the off season? |
I played club lacrosse during the end of spring and then I played local summer ball. I also played a couple tournaments as well. Throughout this whole time I lifted and ran.

Do you have a particular pre-game ritual? |
Get Lunch/Dinner real early in the afternoon. Then get to the stadium very early and listen to some music. About an hour and half before game time I to do some playo-metric drills just to get me warmed up. Also, during the National Anthem I have to be at the end of the line, don't know why it just something that I have been doing since I started playing for the wings.

Favorite team to play against? |
Either Colorado or Toronto I don't really know. I just like the environment both teams play in, the hostile fans the whole atmosphere. Also, the games are usually nail biters.

Favorite player to compete against? |
Don't have one, pretty much dislike whoever I play against. I dolike the chippy ones, it adds some fire to the game. Nothing is better that beating someone up the whole game that doesn't shut their mouth.

Is coaching in your future? |
Least favorite team?
I would have to say Rochester just because they knocked out of the playoffs the past two years. |
Best things about playing in Philly?
The fans. Basically the atmosphere is unbelievable, the place gets absolutely nuts. When the fans get going I feel sorry for the other team. |
Expectations for this season ..any personal goals?
Obviously for the team, its a championship... Basically to get back to the playoffs and to the championship is main team goal and personal goal I believe for everybody on the team. Personal goals don't mean much if you don't have anything to show for it; I want another ring, and will do what ever is needed of me to get it. |
